Sadie is doing great! She's had very little blood, just a drop here and there. She isn't so full of fluids anymore (they both received IV fluids during their recent surgery). She is still quiet but gets around fine. She is really bow legged in the back, like a cowboy, but it doesn't seem to affect her. She and Reba return to the vet on Wednesday, but so far, everything is going really well. Sadie is also eating all of her food like a good girl. They seem to feel better now than they have since they arrived, and for that, we are so happy.
Side note on Reba: Reba is showing some food aggression with the other dogs, and that will need to be kept in mind for her future home if there are other dogs. She does not like to share when solid kibble is placed out, so meal times will need to fed separately to avoid squabbles. Because she seems to be coming out of her shell in this regard, we can see how she might snap at a child if the child were to take a toy or get near her food. We were told she isn't good with children, and since we have not tested that, we will be unable to consider a home with children under 12.
